SmartSearch\u2019s SmartDoc with or without facial recognition or expert opinion, uses IDVT technology, they are a level three on the IDVT scale, two being the minimum requirement. To manage that risk, you must make additional checks. These include:<\/p>\n<p>Perform a nominal payment from\u00a0 an account held in the customer\u2019s name. This could simply involve processing a \u00a31 payment for recovering the cost of the search.<\/p>\n<p>Establish telephone contact, or a perform a &#8220;welcome call&#8221;, with the customer to verify aspects of the information they have already provided.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, establish a written communication with the customer at the address they provide.
